C-Lon Cord – SLON or Superlon – These are brand names of nylon cord. Four sizes of cord made of plied and bonded nylon. Can be sealed with a thread burner and is routinely used for beaded kumihimo. There are two thread sizes that are too thin for use in kumihimo.
A – C-Lon Heavy Weight Bead Cord (CLC 400) (TEX 400): Used with size 6 beads.
B – C-Lon Bead Cord (CLC) (TEX 210): Used with size 8 beads
C – CLC 135 C-Lon Fine Weight Bead Cord (TEX 135): Used with size 11 beads.
D – C-Lon Micro Cord (CLMC) (TEX 70): Used with size 15 beads.
E – C-Lon Beading Thread Size D (CLBD) (TEX 45) – Typically used for bead weaving projects.
F – C-Lon Beading Thread Size AA (CLBAA) (TEX 35) – Typically used for bead weaving projects.
