Thanks for that info Beth. Usually Imposter works well in place of silk, but I have only made this braid in silk and metallic. I actually didn’t like it at all in metallic and completely took it apart.
I recommend a soft, flexible nylon core.
Satin or rattail will also work. However, it can not be shortening with a Cord Zapper. Use Fray Check or similar product to seal the end, let dry and cut to desired length. After cutting, seal again and let dry.
