Hello everyone, Please make a correction in your instructions.
On Page 2 last row of loading chart where it says 10F for cords 3,4,7 & 8, change it to 10E.
Thank you,
Aasia

I didn’t see this until today (Sat, Jul16) and already made that braid with the printed instructions, using 10F color. Will I run out of the black size 11s? What should I do for a fix? Braid’s all done and off the disk.

Inga, You don’t have to do anything to fix it. It’s a small section of the braid and still blends it nicely with the other sections.
You should have enough black beads or you can substitute them with any other color 11/0.

Another correction on page 10, 2nd bullet point.
Last sentence “going through the first B bead added in this row”. It should be first A bead.
You can make these corrections on your printed instructions.
Will update PDF instructions soon.

I just finished my 11-0 braid and the length is just short of 15 inches. With that said, how long will the finished necklace be? I am trying to decide whether to lengthen this braid or not. Aasia, the braid and colors are beautiful, Regarding the dangle, I am thinking about doing it over The part of the dangle that the braid goes in fits well. The bottom part of the dangle may be too loose as while it does hold its shape, it is easily pushed in. Just how sturdy should it be? Thank you.

Hi Deborah,
15″ is fine for 11/0 braid. Just make sure that 8/0 braid is 2″ inches longer than 11/0 braid.
Glad you like the colors and braid.
You should not be able to push in dangle, it should be tight and sturdy. It’s probable the tension of beadwork. Keep it tight and reinforce.

I also did not see the bead change “F” to “E” until today (July 16) and my braid is already made. I can see that it would have looked so much better with gold color beads dominant rather than black beads. Just my two cents but I wish AKS would send an email notifying participants of errata.

I agree Angela – I wish AKS had notified us via email. I guess if we wanted, we can do that braid all over again? UGH – it was no fun stringing the 11s, and taking it apart will super be no fun.

Did you run out of the black 11s elsewhere in the design?

I finished the project today. I enjoyed combining kumihimo with bead weaving and I learned some techniques that I can apply to other projects. This was fun learning experience. Thanks for the excellent videos.

I’m seeing Miyuki spacer beads that are 3mm and also 2.2mm. Which is the correct size for the necklace? I need to order them to be shipped internationally so I’d like to know which size is correct.
Thank you.
